Aaron raises the Barr with 200th game
HEYWOOD champion Aaron Barr celebrated his 200th club game in the best way possible, winning the 2018 South West District Football League reserves premiership.
The now two-time premiership winning player was one of the Lions’ best in the 69-point win against Tyrendarra at Dartmoor on Saturday, kicking two goals while also playing in defence.
Barr said it was a fantastic way to celebrate his milestone game and said it was one of the highlights of his career.
“There is no better way and I’m really happy to get the result we got,” Barr said.
“The biggest highlight was winning the 2012 senior grand final in our first year in the South West league; playing for Heywood in the Western Border league the boys never thought we’d get a premiership so it was a milestone of the club.”
