DONALD DOESN’T CRACK UNDER PRESSURE
DONALD ‘Duck’ Jones has returned to the boxing ring with a bang, being crowned Victoria’s light heavyweight champion by unanimous decision at Brunswick on Sunday.
After three months without a bout, Jones’ freshness proved to be extremely valuable, as he worked his opponent around the ring and in the end outlasted him.
In the lead up to Jones’ only fight in three months, coach Ray ‘Mocka’ McIntosh decided to take a different approach to his training.
Not only did he want him to go in fresh, but he wanted to also work on the 21-year-old’s movement around the ring and footwork.
