Grand final berth on the line for Tiger Cubs
A SPOT in the 2018 Hampden Football League under-18.5 grand final is on the line when Portland and Koroit clash at South Warrnambool tomorrow.
A clash between two well matched sides, each has a victory against the other during the season, but none of that will matter when they step onto the field tomorrow, with South Warrnambool awaiting the winner in the grand final.
The Tigers have been in strong form heading into the game, winning their two previous finals matches in solid fashion, with wins against Cobden and Hamilton Kangaroos.
With momentum on his team’s side, Portland coach Tony Jackson said his side is feeling confident heading into the game.
“We trained pretty intensely on Tuesday night, but only for about half the time we normally would, Wednesday night we had a massage session and some video to go through and on Thursday night we had a hit out and went through our structures,” Jackson said.
