New Puma thrives after move
GRAMPIANS has picked up one of the best young talents over the cricket off-season, as Tyrendarra export Jordi Withers is yet to disappoint, taking the Hamilton and District Cricket Association by storm.
At just 18-years-old, Withers made the transition into Grampians colour from Tyrendarra, a club that he has been a member of since he was just eight years old.
No stranger to new team mates due to all his representative cricket experience, Withers slotted straight into the Pumas best 11 and took control of the team’s number four batting position.
Currently with an average of 53.33 runs, Withers is in the top echelon of batsmen in the HDCA A Grade competition, in fact he sits right at the very top.
Withers’ transition to the Grampians Cricket Club was no easy decision, but one that was made completely by himself.
