Mouth2Mouth Walk, Run and Carnival approaches
NARRAWONG is looming as the place to be on Sunday with athletes gathering for the Mouth2Mouth Walk, Run and Carnival.
The ever popular event features running and walking events, headlined by the 14-kilometre Yumbah Classic run from the Fitzroy River to the Surry River.
The carnival also features a 14km walking event, as well as 7km and 3km walking and running events.
Jared Clark, president of the Portland Runners Club which co-ordinates the athletic events, said there is plenty of excitement for this Sunday’s affair.
“Everything’s organised and it looks like the weather is going to be kind to us and we’ve got quite a few entries so it’s looking like it’s going to be another good year,” Clark said.
“Entries are on par to last year’s event; we’ve got about 30 entries online at this stage (as of Wednesday), but it’s the sort of event where the majority of people register on the day.
“It’s on a par with previous years and we’re happy that it’s tracking along.”
