Malseed heads to USA, talks Olympics
FOR many of the world’s elite athletes the secret to success is straightforward – the completion of small challenges on the path to a greater objective.
It’s a process that’s served Portland cyclist Shannon Malseed well so far in her blossoming career.
Malseed, riding with Team TIBCO-Silicon Valley Bank for a second year in a row, has now completed the Australian leg of the 2019 UCI World Tour and in two days time will fly to the United States for team training.
Following plenty of development work Malseed and Team TIBCO-SVB will then head to California and race in the Redlands Bicycle Classic, running March 13-17.
Positive showings for Malseed and her team at the Tour of Bright, the National Road Series, the Tour Down Under, the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race and the Herald Sun Tour have left the group in a strong mood heading deeper into the international cycling calendar.
