Eager Tigers eye off Port Fairy challenge
PORTLAND’S 2019 Hampden Netball League journey continues tomorrow, playing host to Port Fairy at Hanlon Park in the second round of the season.
After missing out on a win in the opening round – beaten by 28 goals by a dynamic North Warrnambool outfit at Bushfield – Portland has another opportunity tomorrow, this time in front of a raucous home crowd.
Port Fairy’s season began last week with a tight, six-goal victory over South Warrnambool at Gardens Oval.
Port Fairy’s open side is currently under the tutelage of Rhiannon Cuomo in her first season as coach – a division one premiership player and best and fairest award winner stepping up to the plate for the first time.
