2022: Rowan Marshall staying a Saint
ROWAN Marshall has been identified as a central figure in the immediate future of AFL club St Kilda with the young ruckman signing a contract extension this week.
Marshall, born in New Zealand and raised in Portland, arrived at St Kilda via pick 10 of the 2017 Rookie Draft.
He debuted in round 18 of the same season and with a new contract signed, sealed and delivered, has been assured of a position at the club until at least 2022.
“I’m pumped,” Marshall said.
“We probably started talking about my contract a month ago and it’s been a pretty easy process, I’ve had very little to do with it.
“My manager and the club together took care of everything.
“I’m really happy that we got it done quickly and I haven’t had to worry about it.
“I can just go out and play footy, and I’m really grateful to be able to finish the year and the second half of the season without it on my mind.”
