Feedback sought on new playground plan
A GIANT swing, stone huts and a wheelchair trampoline are just some of the features proposed in the latest foreshore All Abilities Playspace concept plan by the Glenelg Shire Council.
And a special session is being held this Friday for the public to have a say on the plan.
Part of the Glenelg Shire Council’s Portland Foreshore Masterplan, the latest iteration of the concept plan is based on feedback from the community, given two years ago.
The playground is now planned to be positioned on the foreshore between the TS Henty Australian Navy Cadets and the skate park, and features more than 25 attractions for users of all abilities.
Several pieces of new equipment will be installed, including four swings, two trampolines and a see-saw, while the foreshore’s existing octopus spinner and pyramid climbing net will be relocated within the play area.
