Another monster win for unders
IN hammering rain at Mortlake’s DC Farren Oval on Saturday, Portland’s under-18.5 side booked in the team’s 13th win for the Hampden Football League season.
Navigating a mud-soaked oval and consistent heavy rain, the third-placed Tigers were far too strong for last-placed Terang-Mortlake, recording a 22.16 (148) to 0.3 (3) victory.
Mitch McLeod played out his best game of the season in the yellow-and-black and was joined by Jai Langenberg and Sam Roberts as his team’s best.
In front of goals Jordi Withers snagged four and Cam Gleeson kicked three, with Portland finishing with 13 individual goal kickers.
