Cavendish looking lethal heading into finals
CAVENDISH has once again stamped their authority on the South West District Netball League competition heading into finals after finishing on top of the ladder with a 53-42 triumph against Tyrendarra.
The Bloods were a class outfit in the wet conditions on Saturday with their team looking dangerous heading into finals.
It was a smooth first half of netball that got the Bloods across the line with their defensive outfit capitalising on the Darras’ mistakes to establish a seven-goal lead by the first break.
Cavendish continued their onslaught with Clare Crawford and Hayley Boxall rotating impressively in the circle to push their lead out, 32-19, at half time.
“In the second quarter I think we had some of the best passages of play I have seen all year,” Cavendish coach Leanne Perry said.
“The ball looked really good moving into attack.”
