Guardian Angel knitters thanked with morning tea
AN IMPRESSIVE 37 volunteers knitted 756 items to donate to people in need for the Guardian Angels knitting program this year.
Portland Guardian Pharmacy retail manager Lee Caddick revealed the details at a thank you morning tea to recognise the generosity of the volunteers on Thursday.
Jumpers, scarves, beanies, and blankets were knitted to keep people warm through some of our coldest months, and toys and baby clothes including booties are set to warm the hearts of recipients.
Many of the volunteers at the morning tea said they only knit for charity nowadays, and some prefer to buy their own jumpers.
