Tigers icon to coach next two years
PORTLAND has secured its senior coach for the next Hampden Football League season with club icon Jarrod Holt accepting the role with a new two-year agreement this week.
Few people have been as influential within the four walls at Hanlon Park over the past two decades, and over the next two years Holt has some big plans for the Tigers.
Off the field, he was a major figure in Portland’s transition from the Western Border Football League to the Hampden Football League in 2012.
On the field, he is a veteran of more than 150 games in the yellow-and-black, captaining the senior side to a premiership in 2006, and coaching the club for three season between 2011 and 2013.
Holt then made the move north, coaching the senior side at Hamilton Kangaroos in 2014 and 2015.
