Andrews named South West’s best footballer
HEATHMERE captain Josh Andrews was rewarded for an outstanding individual run through the South West District Football League’s 2019 senior season on Sunday night, winning the best and fairest award.
The 22-year-old was named in his team’s best players in all but one game during the season, including five best on ground performances.
He finished the count with 33 votes, nine ahead of runner-up, Coleraine’s Tyson Hogan who followed up his 2018 league medal with another great season.
The star on-baller was thrilled to have taken out the award, but said there is a bigger picture to his football career.
