Jennings claims Portland’s senior football best and fairest
HARRIS Jennings has been crowned Portland’s senior best and fairest for the 2019 season, rewarding him for a prominent season in the Hampden Football League.
Jennings has been a consistent performer throughout the season with his athleticism and awareness of the backline shutting down key opponents for the Tigers.
Despite a tough season for the Portland Tigers on the field, winning just two games, Jennings said he enjoyed his year playing senior football at the club and wasn’t too confident heading into the count.
“I had a pretty fun year and I really enjoyed playing,” Jennings said.
“People were talking about it beforehand and saying things but I wasn’t too confident; we’ve had a lot of good players this year.
“Falcs (Daniel Falcone) was really consistent and everyone has been playing some quality football.”
