VICTORIA recorded 532 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, the highest daily increase since the pandemic began.
Six died overnight Sunday, aged from their 50s to 90s, bringing the total number of Victorian deaths to 77.
Premier, Daniel Andrews said five cases were linked to aged care facilities.
There were 245 people in Victorian hospitals, including 44 in intensive care units.
WDHS records a positive case at drive-thru clinic
OVER the weekend, Western District Health Service (WDHS) received a notification a Horsham Rural City resident, who presented at the clinic last Thursday, tested positive for COVID-19.
